Question: While IMF projects Vietnam’s growth at 2.7% for 2020, Vietnam Prime Minister expects over 5%, roundly double. Is this forcast is too optimistic?
Answer: NO.
Reason: Earlier Asian Development Bank and World Bank forecast that Vietnam’s growth will decline to 4.8% and 4.9% this year. In addition, the Vietnam’s General Statistics Office announced last month that the economy has expanded by 3.82% in the first quarter.
