In a powerful demonstration of solidarity, community spirit, and social impact, JCI Vietnam is launching JCI Run 2025: Kilometers for Timi – A Thread of Love, a virtual charity run connecting runners from across Vietnam and the world.
🌍 A Nationwide Virtual Run with a Purpose
Organized by JCI Hai Phong, in collaboration with JCI Can Tho Potential and 12 other JCI chapters across Vietnam, JCI Run 2025 aims to raise awareness and funds for impactful community projects, especially Project Timi – The Thread of Love.
This initiative is more than just a run. It is a call to action – to support vulnerable communities, promote healthy lifestyles, and revive traditional crafts that empower those often left behind.
🎗️ Supporting “Timi – The Thread of Love”
At the heart of this event lies the Timi Project, a social enterprise founded by JCI Can Tho. The initiative seeks to:
- Revive traditional Vietnamese handicrafts, particularly knitting and crochet.
- Create jobs and sustainable income for marginalized individuals – including those living with disabilities, dioxin victims, and rural artisans.
- Promote inclusion and dignity through skill development and community engagement.
The name “Timi” symbolizes the delicate thread of love that connects hearts, families, and communities, even in the face of adversity.
🏃 Run Anywhere, Anytime
Event Dates: June 25, 2025 – August 15, 2025
Registration Period: June 10 – August 10, 2025
Distances: 21 km, 42 km, 100 km
Participants can run or walk anywhere in the world, and track their performance via Strava, Garmin, Suunto, or the VietRace365 platform.
This virtual format allows participants of all abilities to contribute to a greater cause while staying active and connected, no matter where they are.
🎁 Registration and Perks
- Registration Fee: 199,000 VND (~$8 USD)
- Includes a BIB (digital race bib)
- 20,000 VND will be donated directly to support the Timi project
- Optional JCI Run 2025 T-shirt: 150,000 VND, including shipping
- Participants will receive digital certificates, rankings, and have the chance to share their journey online using event hashtags.
